For those who haven't yet seen this video, this explains how the Defying Gravity lift works. However, the melting scene trap door doesn't work the same way, thus the reason Idina Menzel thought she was dying in front of the hot crew guys that she played Poker with. She almost missed out on her dream of "no green M&M's". Oh wait, that's still a dream. Anyway, onto the video.
